Mementoes cast as a shadow before me
On sand where we
Borrowed playfulness of the waves.

But like the sea that has to lap
The sand
With glares of salt and water, I
Have to see in that a kiss to life
Though parting shows the blue beyond,
Now that you’re in pain

The shadows are blue sadness
And the sun is cool
When in your eyes I am not
When I am there.

But hopeful heart
Though wilts as grass
Shows lushes after dews
When the evening comes.

Always Here

A heart seeks shore to you
That while desires
Are ruthless keels of ships
Then gone and none.
It stirs me deep
Like current of the seas
That forever streams
Through pressure just for a spurt
For sunshine and a touch
Of dustless sand
.

If
love
Lives in the heart
Wher does it go
After it dies?

It remains
In the graveyard
Of the heart
And wilts sad moisture
To the eyes
Until its good deeds
Sprout of another
Newborn love where
Brightness and warmth
Radiate through
The sunken eyes.

Life Cycle

Posted in Published Poems on May 31, 2008 by penshadow

In the womb
Of a mother
I am with blood
And from the seed
Of the sky
I am with life.

And made
My day breathes
My shadow flees
Nearer my waiting grave
Which smells of dust
Of sad bygone.
