You And I

a reaching touch encodes a feeling
through the semantics of our being-

the language of two
becomes the structure of one
when in our hearts we decode
the syntax of phonemes
from our beating thoughts
that once you and I
eagerly have sought.

our vernacular is left somehow
unweeded and unwilted
along sun’s distant stride on junctures
which glides on mountains heights
and deepest seas as we
keep going to the phrases of dipping dreams.

let us still be the subjects of our actions,
the objects of our propositions,
the linguists of that we own,
the lovers in bloom.

  1. Hello, gayyem!

This is a very good piece! It’s one of your pieces that really caught my eyes. Love your analogy. :-)

    More from you, friendster!
