Have you ever woke up ten inches tall?
It all started one Friday at 7:00 a.m. before school started. When I was walking around this big statue of a squirrel, I saw a little water in the mouth from the squirrel. My friends, Joshua and Ryan saw me while I was standing there by the statue.
“I dare you to touch the water!” said Joshua.
On the ground, there was a fallen sign covered with dust which read, Do not touch anything in or around the statue. But I just touched the water and all of a sudden I felt a little queasy.
The school day passed and at dinner time I felt more weird than at school. At 9:00 p.m., I went to sleep. I was thinking about what happened at school. I woke up at 4:54 a.m.. I looked up and noticed the blanket covering me. It was very hard to lift up. At 5:07 a.m., I finally got out of the blanket and noticed that my bed was so huge. If I ran for a minute I would only be near my pillow which was humongous. I ran to the edge of my bed and fell down. Ouch! I said. I opened up my huge door. It took me an hour to open it! Once I opened, I went into a deep slumber. The next thing I knew I was in the bathroom. I heard my brother, Dominick running into the bathroom saying , “Man, I have to go use the bathroom!” I dashed out as quick as possible. Once I had the time to have some rest, My brother was walking back to his room. When he came close to me, I screamed as loud as I could to get his attention. He saw me and took me to our parents. They were shocked of what they saw. They called the ambulance and took me to the emergency room. The doctors didn’t know what to do to me. They took me to the hospital’s best physician. He gave me a head to toe check up. He said that there was a special kind of liquid inside of me. The liquid from the squirrel statue was the liquid he was claiming about. He said I would be normal by tomorrow though so my parents took me home.
When we got home it was already lunchtime. I really wanted to eat ribs for lunch, but I was so small. All I ate was baby food because my teeth were tiny. Once I ate it I was so full that I couldn’t take a step. My brother took me to places where I wanted to go. When I was sitting on the computer desk I didn’t even want to open my computer, which I am using now. When I was watching the television it was extremely loud. Ah, it was very hard living a small life! I really had a lot of troubles with food choices. I couldn’t eat all the food I used to eat because my teeth were so small. At 9 p.m., I went to sleep. My bed was so big that my parents put my stuffed dog on the ground for my bed. The next day I woke up on the floor and I was already normal size. I looked down and saw myself a lot bigger. I was living an average 4th grader life.
Next Monday when I went to school and was very happy, I told the story of my being small to my friends, Joshua and Ryan. They didn’t believe it until I showed them pictures of me 10 inches. While we were talking to one another around the squirrel’s statue, a drop from its mouth landed again but not at this time on my head but on Joshua’s. He felt the same way I did. Joshua screamed because he became small in front of me and Ryan. While at that situation, it so happened that the physician from the hospital came to check on me and saw Joshua as small as I was before.
“Oh no, not another one!” exclaimed the physician.
